Bailiff Issues Episode 9: The Wonderbag


The Bailiff Africa Team would like to invite you to the 9th episode of our online conversation series titled Bailiff Issues. Bailiff Africa is the foremost youth-run, youth-focused online platform for environmental initiatives and Bailiff Issues is the first of it’s kind in Africa. Our May 8th Episode, will focus on The Wonderbag. Wonderbag is a brilliant innovation for sustainable cooking. The discussion will be co-facilitated by the Bailiff Africa handle (@bailiffafrica) and (@TheWonderbag) from 6:00 – 7:30pm.

The Bailiff Issues discussion series was launched in March, 2013 on Twitter with the hashtag #BailiffIssues to facilitate environmental education among Nigerian youths. Over the past month, Bailiff Africa has hosted discussions from waste management in Nigeria to the role of women in the African environmental revolution. The Bailiff Issues episodes hold weekly on Wednesdays from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm (Nigerian Time) and the sessions attract participation from across Africa. We are assured that your involvement on the panel during our 5th episode will help us create awareness to a larger audience and dissipate useful information to enable our African youths make meaningful and informed impact on the environment.

We’ll take questions from participants and engage in discussion with facts, figures, opinions and suggestions all with the goal of enlightening one another on the reality of environmental issues in specific African contexts. From Climate Change to Population Crises to Droughts and Floods, we’ll cover a variety of topics one Wednesday at a time. Every tweet, re-tweet and counter-tweet is a step closer to achieving our goal of sensitizing the African youth population on environmental issues and initiatives in order to mobilize change from this corner of the community.

Our ‘Bailiff Issues’ sessions are fun, relaxed and informative. Every voice counts in saving the world, especially yours.

How to Participate:

  1. Follow @BailiffAfrica on Twitter
  2. From 6:00pm to 7:30pm (NGR time) , tweet questions or responses to statements and questions with the hash tag #BailiffIssues. You’ll be able to participate in the conversation by following the thread #BailiffIssues on Twitter.
  3. The more the merrier and the greater the opportunity to learn something new on your favorite (or worst) environmental issue. Share the flier on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and other social media platforms. Tell a friend who will tell another friend.
