We are excited to announce that we’ve won our first grant to support our commitment to environmental education and innovation in Africa!
In recognition of our previous work and plans to improve environmental education and innovation in Lagos State, Nigeria and all of Africa, Bailiff Africa has been awarded a grant by the Global Greengrants Fund in the United States. The grant will be used to put up a youth workshop that addresses the discovery of oil in Lagos State. The theme will be announced closer to the workshop which is scheduled to hold in April, 2014. Prior to the workshop, a call for essay entries will be put out in order to select those who will participate. Watch this space for more information.
Bailiff Africa was founded in 2012, with a mission to foster the development of successful environmental projects and organizations in African contexts through the provision of comprehensive environmental education and resources to young people on the continent of Africa.
A big thanks to Global Greengrants Fund, headquartered in Boulder, Colorado. GGF has supported nearly 6000 environmental projects since 1993. The fund channels donations into small grants of up to $5,000 for local environmental work in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and island nations.
